What does Gimbla mean?
The name comes from the combination of the word
Gimbal and the place that inspired its creation; the
Kanimbla Valley
in the picturesque Blue Mountains, Australia. We want you to achieve
a 360-degree view of your business to ensure decisions are based on the full
data picture.

Our Story
2019
A group of friends went on a hiking trip and decided to
collectively build something they are all passionate about. Their
goal is to make a real difference for small businesses.
2021
After almost two years of dedicated development and rigorous
testing, Gimbla successfully launched its Free Accounting Software
to businesses worldwide.
2022
Gimbla Pty Ltd officially registered as a private Australian
company. Shortly after the release of online cloud storage as a
paid option, Gimbla welcomed its first paying customer.
2023
Gimbla Payroll secured whitelisting from the Australian Taxation
Office (ATO) as a Single Touch Payroll (STP) product. This
accreditation empowered Gimbla to offer an integrated payroll
solution within its existing accounting software, providing
businesses with a seamless and comprehensive financial management
experience.
2024
Gimbla Accounting Software hit a major milestone with over 10,000
registered users, a testament to its growing popularity.
2025
A pivotal moment in our story! This year, thanks to the incredible
support of our customers, Gimbla became a profitable company. This
moves us beyond the startup phase into a new era of stability,
ensuring we can reinvest in the platform and continue delivering
innovative features for years to come.
